Website and Experiences

I have to say that when I heard we had to create a website for this class, I shuddered. During my undergraduate time, I had to create a student teacher website and a website for an online lesson. We also used Dreamweaver, however not being very technologically savvy at the time, I really, really struggled.

This time around was much easier, that is once I got all of my worrying out of the way:) I think this is due in large part to how much more I use technology on an every day basis. This includes using the Promethean Board, all of the technology that CCSD integrates and working from both a P.C. and a Mac daily. I also copied a user guide from a professional development that Susan G. attended which was incredibly helpful. I highly suggest making a copy of it! I also have to thank Susan for meeting with me to show me the things I couldn't figure out on my own. You're a great teacher Susan! So without further ado, my website is http://complabs.nevada.edu/~nebea/    I am still working on my resume so that link doesn't work yet. I also included a link on the nav bar.

You are so welcome, Ashley! Although, I just started working on websites myself last semester, and I still have a lot to learn about creating them, I hope I helped you understand the process a little better. You were fun to work with! -- Susan

Your website is a good start, Ashley. I like the consistent "banner + navigation bar" that you came up with. You might improve the layout of the home page, e.g., limiting content text width to same width as banner, wrapping text next to image, and changing background color to white.

Your reflection is a bit short, under the 500-750 word limit. Other things you could comment on include the tools you used and how what you did related to in-class readings.
